Athena Cromwell has completed the Oregon Health Care Association “Practicing the Value of Community Based Care” in July 2014
Athena started off as a volunteer at an assisted living facility when she was 17 years old. She has been working with seniors for 16 plus years as a caregiver, med tech, cook, receptionist, and resident care coordinator. These positions allowed Athena to assist with service plans, hiring of employees, staffing, reviews, coordination of residents care, & processing of physicians orders. Athena also completed two years of college courses where she obtained her CNA license. During this time Athena attended classes for other health services related courses. On June 13, 2016 Athena joined the Pacific Living Centers, Inc. team as the administrator at Arbor House of Grants Pass. She will now be responsible to train and supervise staff, assess residents for admission, develop service plans according to policy and procedure and plan and carry out daily activities with the residents. She will be responsible for the care of 15 elderly people with Alzheimer’s and related dementia as well as working with their families and a staff of 10. She will actively complete educational courses as required in all areas of her field.
Athena has expressed her excitement about joining the team at Pacific Living Centers, Inc. where she can continue learning and excelling in the senior care living industry, doing what she loves.
